Here are just a few answers to common questions people have
but if you really need detailed information it is best to
contact us directly.
How do I go about seeing a psychotherapist?
There is nothing difficult or complicated involved. Simply
call Safe Place on (087) 1402050 to book an
appointment and we will step you carefully through the
process.
What does counselling or psychotherapytherapy involve?
Everyone is different and therapy will depend on individual
needs, but Safe Place will generally use a
Person Centered approach within a CBT (Cognitive
Behavioural Therapy) framework. Other styles of therapy including a psychoanalyitic
approach may also be used as needed. See Our
Services page for more
detail.
How long will it take?
Normally, each session will last about 1 hour. The number of
overall sessions needed will vary depending on your personal
circumstances. For some people issues are resolved in just a
few sessions, whilst others may need to work towards a
positive outcome over a longer period.
How much will counselling cost me?
Safe Place offers affordable pricing options
to suit most budgets. Reduced fees are available for
students and Pensioners. Please contact us to see what is
available for you.
Do I need a referral from my Doctor?
No, you can visit a psychotherapist without a referral from your doctor if you
wish.
When can I book an appointment?
Safe Place appointments can be made at a time
to suit your needs. Please contact us directly to discuss
your specific requirements.
